LIFT

  • This is a temporary procedure where Dermal Filler is used to LIFT facial features and present a more youthful appearance. This is an effective, temporary, less risky and more affordable alternative to a surgical facelift.

    Dermal fillers are a soft, temporary, gel-like substances that are injected under the skin. They are made up of a naturally occurring substance, found in many areas of the human body, called Hyaluronic Acid.

  • Injecting Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler into areas of volume loss, works to provide volume and balance to LIFT features to appear more full, defined, proportional and symmetrical.

    The non-surgical facelifts consider the following treatments in collaboration to give an overall lifted and youthful appearance:

    • Under eye restoration

    • Cheek enhancement or volume restoration

    • Nose reshaping

    • Softening of deep lines, nasolabial folds and marionette lines

    • Chin enhancement

    • Jawline enhancement or jowl reduction

  • Dermal Filler (Hyaluronic Acid) is temporary. Effects are seen instantly. However, due to minimal swelling from the procedure the final result is best seen at 2 weeks.

    The effects last up to 12 months. This depends on the density and quantity of the dermal filler used, patient metabolism and patient lifestyle factors. With repeated treatments, the effects can sometimes last longer.

    Dermal Filler effects can be reversed quicker than this should the patient not be happy with the results. If the decision is made to dissolve the Dermal Filler, a 2 week window is necessary before any further Dermal Filler can be administered.

  • OUTCOME

    Under eye restoration, cheek enhancement or volume restoration, nose reshaping, softening of deep lines, nasolabial folds and marionette lines, chin enhancement and jawline enhancement or jowl reduction.

  • DURATION

    30 - 90 minutes.

  • PAIN

    None - Mild.

    Prior to the procedure we apply local anaesthetic cream to all areas being injected o reduce pain to a bare minimum. Please note due to the anatomical variations, some areas can be slightly more painful than others.

    To combat this, our Dermal Filler contains a local aesthetic called Lidocaine. This means after the first injection you will slowly feel numb and the remainder of the procedure will be painless.

  • BEFORE CARE

    Avoid makeup, creams or other products on areas being treated.

    To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) (Ibuprofen, Naproxen etc.) for 24 hours prior to your procedure.

    If you are on other blood thinning medications like Aspirin, Warfarin, or Direct Oral AntiCoagulants (DOACs) (Rivaroxiban, Apixaban etc.) kindly contact us prior to your consultation to discuss the risks.

  • EFFECTS

    Immediate results

    2 weeks: full effects, once swelling settles.

    6 - 12 months: total effects (varies depending on type/amount of Dermal Filler used as well as both patient health/lifestyle factors).

  • AFTERCARE

    4 hours: avoid makeup, creams, other products or touching the area to limit the risk of infection.

    24 hours: avoid alcohol, hot areas (including saunas), shaving, touching or applying pressure (including sleeping on the areas), strenuous exercise and Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) (Ibuprofen, Naproxen etc.).

    24/7: Patients will have round-the-clock access to the Kai Team via text and email for urgent concerns.

  • DOWNTIME

    Day procedure - can return to normal life after the procedure.

  • FOLLOW UP

    2 weeks: appointment to address any concerns, make adjustments to treatment as needed and assess outcomes.

  • DO NOT USE DERMAL FILLER IF:

    • Under 18-years-old

    • Allergy to Hyaluronic Acid, Lidocaine or Gram positive bacertial proteins

    • Pregnant or Breast Feeding

    • Significant bleeding disorders

    • Burn, trauma or infection at the sites wanting to be treated

  • COMPLICATIONS

    Vascular occlusion is a blockage in your blood vessels due to the Dermal Filler injected. It is a very rare complication, with a risk of less than 0.05%.

    As a doctor-led clinic our knowledge of anatomy allows us to avoid blood vessels with ease. Should a vascular occlusion happen, we are well equipped to manage it then and there using HYALASE - a treatment which instantly dissolves the Dermal Filler, and reverses the vascular occlusion.

    Other complications are rare. We will thoroughly discuss any potential risks during the consent process prior to your procedure. Your safety and well-being are our utmost concern.
